Still a few things to get ready.
Spent a fair amount of time getting this website set up so family and friends can track my progress on a map and so I can do daily diary updates.
The ultralight battery I ordered two weeks ago was on backorder, then the supplier canceled my order and refunded. So now I’ve ordered a battery from another supplier and am having it shipped to my shuttle driver No Dog. Hopefully it gets to him before he picks me up. 8 days to go – let’s hope so! The other problem is that it will probably arrive uncharged or only partially charged so I may need to charge it at Amicalola Falls State Park when I get there (maybe I can partly charge it in his car). I’d rather not bring my current heavy and worn-out battery as a backup, then I’d have to ditch it or mail it home.
Still need to organize food. I have a big stash of dehydrated food in the basement but haven’t organized it!
